This review is for the Tanus large purple haze dildo.MATERIAL: This is made from a type of silicone called platinum. It has a nice sheen to it, a bit iridescent. It's incredibly slick when moisture's added to it, which is a plus. Silicone is a very body safe material, being hypoallergenic and nontoxic. It's nonporous. It washes very easily with hot soapy water and can be boiled because it's nonporuous. This toy is very flexable.MEASURMENTS: I measured this myself and it has an insertable length of 6 3/4". The top 2 3/4" of the shaft is the thickest, having a diameter of just over 1 1/2". It then narrows a bit to a diameter of 1 1/2".PACKAGING: The toy comes incased in a clear plastic container which is then placed inside another clear plastic box. It's what I call basic packaging.DILDO: I was a bit nervous to use this and wondered if I'd taken on more than I could handle because the top part is pretty thick and insertion seemed like it would be uncomfortable at first. But when I added a bit of lube to the tip I realized how slick this platinum silicone gets and I had no problem with inserting it. I really like this material a lot, especially since it gets so slick when wet.

I love the feel of silicone toys! They warm up and hold heat, stand up to beatings, and when lubricated (with water based lubes ONLY!!!) they slide better than any other material. It's hard to find a good smooth (no ridges, nubbies, etc.) dong made out of silicone, and I'm glad I bought the large Tantus. It provides a great feeling of fulness, and is especially great for anal play. The color is pleasant, and a nice change up from skin tones and common colors. It's a metallic purple, and shines nicely in light. It worked with both harnesses it's been used in, using standard o ring harnesses.Only downsides to the product, are those inherent with silicone; You cannot use silicone based lubes directly on it (I have used silicone lubes on this toy having put a condom on it first, which did indeed prevent any deterioration silicone lubes with do to silicone toys), and keeping it lint free is near to impossilble without a satin storage bag, or one made of another type of synthetic fabric. Overall, great dong for the price!UPDATE <<21 MAY 2012>>Having had people ask more about the compatibility of the Tantus with silicone lube, I decided to try some on mine without a condom on it, to see what would happen, and after trying Wet Platinum, Astroglide X, and Pjur silicone, None of these lubes have caused any sort of degradation to the Tantus, and out of experience, I can say that for these silicone based lubes, they will work great naked on the Tantus. Thanks to those who informed me; you're saving me money on condoms!!! :)

Well made. Very easy to use. I also like that it is not a "realistic" shape, since I find that kinda creepy. :)
